Ingredients:
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1/3 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 2 stalks green onions, sliced
- 1 tsp sesame seeds
Instructions:
- Place a 12-inch cast iron skillet or heavy-bottomed non-stick pan over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook, breaking it apart with a spatula, until the meat is thoroughly browned and has developed crispy, mahogany edges.
- Lower the heat to medium. Pour in the soy sauce and brown sugar. Stir continuously for 2–3 minutes until the sauce bubbles and thickens into a shimmering, sticky coating that clings to the beef.
- Remove from heat immediately. Stir in the sesame oil. Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
