Ingredients:
- 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- ½ tsp cayenne pepper
- ½ tsp kosher salt
- ¼ tsp freshly ground black pepper
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- ¼ cup fresh cilantro, chopped
Instructions:
- In a small bowl, toss the cleaned shrimp with the smoked paprika, cayenne, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
- Place a skillet over medium-high heat and add the olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter.
- Once the butter sizzles, add the shrimp in a single layer. Sear for 2 minutes without moving them, then flip and cook for another 1-2 minutes until opaque and curled into a 'C' shape.
- Reduce heat to medium. Stir in the remaining tablespoon of butter and minced garlic, sautéing for 60 seconds until fragrant.
- Drizzle with lemon juice, remove from heat immediately, and fold in the chopped fresh cilantro.
