Ingredients:

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp cayenne pepper
  • ½ tsp kosher salt
  • ¼ tsp freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • ¼ cup fresh cilantro, chopped

Instructions:

  1. In a small bowl, toss the cleaned shrimp with the smoked paprika, cayenne, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
  2. Place a skillet over medium-high heat and add the olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter.
  3. Once the butter sizzles, add the shrimp in a single layer. Sear for 2 minutes without moving them, then flip and cook for another 1-2 minutes until opaque and curled into a 'C' shape.
  4. Reduce heat to medium. Stir in the remaining tablespoon of butter and minced garlic, sautéing for 60 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Drizzle with lemon juice, remove from heat immediately, and fold in the chopped fresh cilantro.
