Ingredients:
- 1 large sweet potato (approx. 300g), peeled and cut into 1/2-inch cubes
- 1 medium sweet apple (approx. 150g), peeled and cut into 1-inch chunks
- 3 tbsp steaming water, breastmilk, or formula
- 1 tsp virgin coconut oil
- 1 pinch ground cinnamon
Instructions:
- Peel 1 large sweet potato and cut it into 1/2 inch cubes.
- Peel 1 medium sweet apple and cut it into 1 inch chunks.
- Fill a pot with 2 inches of water and place a steamer basket inside. Bring to a boil.
- Place the sweet potato cubes in the basket. Cover and steam for 5 minutes until they start to soften.
- Toss the apple chunks into the basket with the potato. Cover again.
- Cook for another 7 minutes until a fork slides effortlessly through the potato.
- Carefully move the hot produce to a blender or food processor.
- Drop in 1 tsp virgin coconut oil and a pinch of ground cinnamon.
- Start blending on low, slowly adding 3 tbsp of your chosen liquid until the mixture is completely smooth.
- Let the puree sit for at least 10 minutes to reach a safe temperature before testing it on your wrist.
